Source is taking part in the Department for Transport’s national campaign, The Electric Road Trip. Highlighting how far the UK has come in its transition to electric vehicles.
Led by motoring expert Jodie Kidd, the campaign follows a fully electric drive from Land’s End to the Angel of the North. The journey demonstrates the reach and reliability of the UK’s public charging network.
A national moment for EV adoption
The campaign sits within the government’s wider Get That Electric Feeling initiative, which aims to address one of the biggest barriers to electric vehicle adoption: range anxiety.
The UK now has more than 118,000 public charge points, nearly twice the number of fuel pumps. These are spread across rural roads, major motorways and well known destinations. Working with partners including the Department for Transport and Zapmap, the campaign shows how easy it is to travel around the country in an electric vehicle.
As Jodie Kidd says:
“The UK’s EV charging network has come such a long way. This journey shows that you can confidently travel the length of the country in an electric car. It’s not just possible, it’s enjoyable.”

From Land’s End to Brooklands and beyond
The journey opens with Jodie Kidd setting off from Land’s End, marking the start of a nationwide electric road trip.
A key stop includes Brooklands, the historic centre of British motorsport and now home to one of Source’s EV charging hubs. It reflects how tradition and innovation are coming together as transport evolves.
Showcasing Source across the UK
As part of the campaign, the road trip will visit three Source locations, each highlighting a different part of our network.
Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh
Located next to the Royal Yacht Britannia, this is Source’s first EV hub. It represents an early milestone for the brand and a practical example of accessible ultra rapid charging in a major destination.
Dundee: Myrekirk Roundabout and Broomhill Road
Dundee, known for The Beano, The Dandy, the V and A Dundee and the RRS Discovery, is home to two of Source’s most forward thinking hubs.
Myrekirk Roundabout is one of our flagship ultra rapid charging sites.
Broomhill Road features a canopy made from a repurposed wind turbine blade, offering weather protection and a clear visual link to renewable energy.
Together, these locations reflect what Source stands for: scale, reliability and thoughtful design rooted in sustainability.
